  • Transgender student, SUU face dilemma - Kourt Osborn, a sophomore sociology major from Kanab who has been living as a male, does not qualify to live in male on-campus housing because of failure to provide medical information defining him as a transgender person as well as his neglect to turn in the required application fee.

  • EDITORIAL: Officials' announcement right move - We applaud the administration for opening up and showing the public that planning is under way regarding transgender and other diversity issues at SUU.

  • SUU administrators discuss transgender issues in press conference - Issues of inclusion and support of transgender students at SUU, as well as general issues of diversity, were discussed by SUU administrators Thursday in a press conference, where they discussed the status of potential policy changes.

  • EDITORIAL: Design fair transgender housing policy - With the eyes of the nation on SUU, it is time for the administration to come out and explain how the university will fairly accommodate transgender individuals in on-campus housing.

  • SUU alumni with planned endowment recommends diversity changes - The money that Tom Biederman, a gay SUU alumni, will leave to the university is not actually an endowment as of January 2008.

  • EDITORIAL: Students espouse tolerance - Kourt Osborn has become the face of transgender issues at SUU. We hope he will continue to press for the housing policy to be revamped, beginning with paying the required application fee so university officials will be forced to grapple with the real issues at stake.
