With the school semester taking its final bow, professors are desirous to know the outcome of their teaching abilities.

However, even with course evaluations popping up during students' campus computer log-in sessions, not all students accomplish this task.

(Posted Jan. 19)

Ah, Clint Eastwood! Not only are you the coolest old racist war veteran I've ever seen on the silver screen, but you also direct your minions to give amazing performances and you sing a Golden Globe-nominated song on the soundtrack that you wrote! Wow!

I'm referring, of course, to the latest Eastwood gem Gran Torino.

To the graduating Class of 2009 I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes. I hope your time at SUU has prepared you for the personal and professional challenges ahead in addition to imbuing you with a never-ending desire to continue learning. You now enter the world of the educated, charged with remembering these words of Malcolm Forbes: "Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one.

omething that one gal did over the weekend at her parents to what one guy did with his buddies in Vegas.

The only thing I really couldn't hear was the teacher teaching the class. If that wasn't enough I would be distracted by the sudden vibration of a cell phone or three and the constant moving of fingers over the keypads of said phones.

SUU has reached its 110th annual and final commencement of this decade. The class of 2009 is the largest in school history, and in turn, greatly improved diversity among students.

The University Journal Editorial Board commends the administration for their efforts to promote diversity on our campus, and with it, different perspectives and ideas that make an SUU education all the better.
